I saw this on Yutube and got my husband to rig this hook for me. It's the only way I am able to bullion stitch. It's just a piece of plastic tubing that he found in the tool shed, and a metal yarn needle. I'd like to push the plastic down a little more, but I can't with the flat, wide finger spot in the middle. If I do a lot of bullions maybe I'll get hubby to work on it some more.

This is my first attempt at compost dyeing. I used purple cabbage. The cabbage looks beautiful spread across the linen. I used 100% natural color linen. I scoured it and mordant it. Let's see how long I can wait before digging it up.
